Weekend Snaps (Midweek post!)

Weekend Snaps well into the week is a good way to prep for the weekend! Right? That makes up for this post being late doesn’t it? I am working on some projects at home but none of them have finished yet so hopefully I’ll have some completed projects to report about soon and I am ACTUALLY going camping this weekend! *GASP* The last few months work has been crazy and my weekends have been completely full so finding time to go camping has been tough. But its happening guys! So I will surely have the trip to report on next week… Look at me making lofty promises.

Well on with the pictures. I went to the flea market again this weekend, its turning into a weekend tradition. I didn’t buy anything, however I did get a super sweet tarnished cup and spoon set for my boss… he is like the KING of tarnished props. Check out these first signs of Autumn here in San Francisco. It has been really pretty down the tree lined streets with all of the multicolored leaves.  I’ve actually been able to wear scarves and sweaters this last week. I think I am ready for Autumn, although for any of you living in San Francisco usually that means it will soon be our Summer… Although this last summer season was really weird so this Autumn might throw us all for a loop too.DSCF2207 DSCF2233

Who doesn’t love more pictures of Duke? The city put in this cool little park right by Kezar stadium with this wave bench made out of a single log… Duke seemed to like it. (Actually it took us a while to get him to just hangout there and let me take a photo, which he should be used to by now.) Since they redid this little piece of land there have been tons of dogs and dog owners bringing their dogs to play fetch and run around. If there is a piece of open land anywhere in the city, Dogs will be there, it is just how it goes.DSCF2253

This is a little street snap that I took just off Bryant St. I have been wanting to photograph the back of that billboard for AGES. I finally took a photo the other day when the lighting seemed pretty. My Tumblr is where I post all of my street snaps and other fun shots of my day to day if you want to see more.

Weekend Snaps No. 2

This weekend was a weekend that could be defined by one word: LAZY.  Here are few highlights though:

I FINALLY got to bring home my new coffee table. I had been bothering Cody to make it for weeks after we had brought the piece of glass for the top home from Builders Resource a few weeks ago. Then finally, after a bit of begging he got all the metal and welded it all together. After a few coats of paint, it was looking completely different. I am so happy and thankful that I’ve got someone to make me amazing things! I think it’s the shining piece in our living room. Our apartment now is home to a couple of pieces that Cody has made: 1, & 2. I am hoping with some more coaxing I can get something that is the likes of any of these in the next month or two. I think I’ll have to keep my fingers AND toes crossed to get this to happen. I would love to do a DIY post on how he made this table but I’m afraid welding is WAY over my head.DSCF2197

I also got a bunch of mending done on some clothes that weren’t fitting me quite right. I brought in a few pairs of jeans and also brought in a jacket that was a little too big on me. I’ve really focused on re-purposing my current wardrobe rather than buying new pieces, with the cooler weather coming soon I am excited to where my *newly* edited jacket.DSCF2204This picture *technically* wasn’t from the weekend but we stopped at this cafe in South Park by our work to get a little breakfast on Friday morning, this is one of the advantages of working together.

There were lots and lots of Duke naps this weekend.  DSCF2177Not much to report from the weekend but what I think those productive weekends-in feel great after a busy week at work.

My Happiness Right Now

My life has been completely consumed by a new member of our little family. Our 8 month old puppy; Duke. photophoto 2 photo 3 photo 4photo 1 photo 2 photo 3 photo 4We got Duke on Sunday and one day later my boyfriend left for a job in NYC for 4 days, I was puppy sitting and training this little guy for his first week in our home. Duke is by far the mellowest puppy I have ever encountered. He has been a dream these last couple of weeks and really makes me feel like we have completed our little family. We rescued him from Family Dog Rescue in San Francisco, I would recommend if you are looking for a dog, that you should rescue one instead of buying. Next we just need to get him a Barkbox!

Now that things are beginning to settle down I hope to be back on a regular posting schedule, but there will still be plenty of appearances of Duke in the future.
