This shelf reminds me a lot of Tetris. With its different little shelves with alternating sizes and uses for each area. Cody made this for work, it sits by my desk. The basic bones of building something like this is really simple, you just create the outer frame in the size that you want and then create the different size shelves inside it. It is really simple but it adds so much character to a usually boring surface in the studio.
We are looking for a few more books to occupy the lower part of the shelf. The chalkboard has been fun to write and draw on, we painted a few coats of chalkboard paint on mdf board to make the chalkboard.
We also went to the FlowerMart to pick up succulents for the planter boxes and a couple really cool air plants for the shelves. This is a really simple DIY but if you had a large wallspace, just imagine the possibilities?!
